Black Panther 2: Here’s all we know.

Following the MCU’s hit spin-off from the roots of ‘Wakanda’ which grossed a billion dollars. After the initial release in in February 2018 at around August 2019 a prequel was announced to begin filming in 2021 and was scheduled to be in theaters by May 2022. Director Ryan Coogler of course would be behind the filming.

Will the pandemic affect the release of Black Panther II?

Marvel studios was already packed with release dates of movies such as Black Widow, Thor: Love and Thunder.

Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus nearly all Disney movies have been pushed back. The outbreak has seriously crippled the movie industry, release dates have been pushed back including movies like The Batman and BOND: No time to die. Ripples could be felt as film festivals were cancelled and Comic-cons.

From the look of things so far the release date is still fixed on May 6th 2022. Disney’s MCU shows aren’t getting pushed because initial release dates hadn’t been announced. Still Marvel doesn’t seem to be pushing back the release date till further notice.

Is Chadwick Boseman still Black Panther?.

A writer from Epicstream ran an article that Boseman might not Black Panther in the upcoming sequel due to some financial disputes. There was also some seemingly health related issues that left fans worried. Due to payment dispute from the first Black Panther, there have been speculations that T’challa could be replaced by his sister Shuri.

Ryan Coogler is still Black Panther’s confirmed director as said earlier, he also confirmed the release date of black panther 2. At the D23 Expo, Kevin Fiege also confirmed it as May 2022.

It’s being rumoured that singer Beyonce is set to be featured in Black Panther 2. Following her musical works on The Lion King, the singer has been booked to work with the production of the sequels musical.

Will Beyonce be in the movie?

Black Panther drew a lot of positive attention due to it’s diversity and Beyonce, given, a prominent African-American lady being featured in the sequel would be to fans a match made in heaven.

As for the singer being in the movie this is all speculation but for now we could be certain that she would be in it’s musical

Who’s the Villian?

About the villian, the chatter everywhere has been that it’s Killmonger. The villian could possibly return though it’s all speculation.
